Almost all aluminum, the machine does not fail to look with an original bronze color that should please the greatest number. Aluminum offers a rugged feel and quality. We appreciate not having to clean the machine because of glossy plastics messy. Only part of the screen uses the shiny black plastic still very fashionable. It combines all the same, to the slab, also brilliant. An aluminum frame would, however, helped limit the fingerprints.
The keyboard is a model with spaced keys. The impactor is rather quiet and fast through low key travel (they do not sink a lot). The latter is of reasonable size (15 x 15 mm) and are well placed. Only the keys are resized, without a real problem. The overall comfort is very good. Adjustment functions (volume, brightness, etc..) Are arranged on the F1 through F12. No need to use the "fn" key "to use. Consequently, it can be problematic for some keys such as Alt + F4 ". It must then use the combination "fn + Alt + F4".

The multi-touch touchpad is very large and very comfortable. Only the slide is a little less pleasant since the coating is a little less smooth and thus more noise. It remains light years of horrible brilliant touchpads used on some other machines horsepower. The touchpad used on TM2 is among the best models available today. The touch screen is multi-touch (2 fingers) and capacitive. It also works with some applications in resistive (you must press a little if handled finger). It is rather reactive, especially with his pen that allows users to manipulate the particular machine without even touching the screen. It is sufficient to come within a few millimeters from the surface to move the pointer and click on the stylus or touch screen with the tip to make a click. Right clicking is done with a button on the stylus or by leaving the stylus pressed 2 seconds on the screen. This pen also supports pressure levels. It is thus possible to draw like a tablet (with Photoshop CS4 for example). In practice, it is quite possible to draw or write with this touch screen. The handwriting recognition is so perfectly feasible. We clearly prefer the stylus for this purpose, since it is more difficult to use the screen with fingers result of the need to press it. For this capacitive screens are much more pleasant to use without a stylus.
HP Pavilion TouchSmart TM2 webcamlive webcam is correct. The fluidity is sufficient despite some blurring during fast movements. However, this lack of sharpness and overexposed areas are burned. The colors are still satisfactory. Despite an all-aluminum shell that dissipates heat well and relatively energy efficient components, the breakdown of TM2 is quite audible. Without being very noisy, can not qualify the machine quiet. Other ultra-portables are much better. Our model also had the unfortunate tendency to make an unpleasant whistle that can disturb some people. This would seem electronics that manages the backlight of the screen. The connection is complete with 3 USB 2.0 ports, 1 HDMI, 1VGA, 1 RJ45, 1 memory card reader 5 in 1 and 1 socket combo headset. A stylus is also supplied with the machine and fits on the left side. HP also provided an external DVD burner with his machine. Under the unit, 2 large doors allow access to key components of the machine.
