An explication for the lowered price comes from the configuration. The PC tablet from HP is not equipped with Intel processors, but with Turion X2 processors from AMD. The screen which can recognize the position of two fingers has a standard 1280 x 800 pixels resolution, and the graphics card is an ATI Radeon HD 3200 with 64 MB RAM. The RAM memory of the system can reach up to 8 GB, but in this case you will have to call for a 64 bits version of the Windows Vista operating system. The 5400 RPM hard drive can have a maximum storage capacity of 500 GB.As a bonus, although it is an ultra portable, HP Touch Smart TX2 is equipped with an optical DVD RW unit. Its dimensions are 30.5 x 22.5 x 3.9 cm, and its weight can reach 2.1 kg. The basic price is $1,150, but a better configuration may cost up to $1,500. Currently, the virtual HP store receives pre-commands for the Touch Smart TX2, the deliveries being scheduled for the end of the current month.
