Top laptop brands

With continuing technology in laptops and computers in general it is hard to come out with a top contender for laptops. Most of the time you will find out that it is really personal preference, a lot of it has to do with what you are using your laptop for. A lot of people feel that their brand is the best, whether that type is Sony, Dell, HP, Sager, IBM, or whatever other brand people already own. The more important question is what are you going to use this computer for.

A lot of people feel that buying laptops for gaming is senseless, because for the price of a good gaming laptop you can buy parts for a top of the line gaming computer that will blow any laptop away. This is because there are so many computer part manufacturers out there it is driving the prices way down. A lot of people including me believe that a laptop should be used when it it convenient and nothing more. Laptops are so unpredictable that you can have one and as soon as the warranty is up it ends up going out. Then you are out of all that money for nothing.

The best thing to do is have your desktop PC that you used for multi media, and gaming, and then have a laptop for your basic computing needs like checking email, surfing the web etc. Spending $600 on a average laptop once a year saves a lot more money then buying a $1200 laptop and having it go out on you. But this site is to give you the top laptop brands out on the market so that's what i'm going to do. These are laptops that will be able to perform all your needs in one computer. Here is the list for the top laptop brands determined by performance.

Alienware M17 is one of the first laptops to use the ATI CrossFireX technology. It uses two ATI Radeon video cards that offer HD Blu Ray viewing as well as 5 digit 3DMark results at 1,920 x 1,200 resolution. It comes with a 160GB hard drive that is more then enough for a gamer. 17" screen is another great thing about this laptop, and its bulky almost industrial frame construction makes it almost indestructible. Over all this is one of the best gaming laptops on the market, and the price for them has gone down considerably considering it is a Alienware laptop. The price for this set-up is just over $2000 which is way less then older slower Alienware laptops.
top_laptop_brandsCyberPower Xtreme M1 is another one of those top of the line gaming laptops. Though it is a little bit more expensive then the Alienware M17 at a little over $2100 it has almost the same setup as the M17. It also uses the new ATI CrossFireX technology video cards, but the higher price comes because of the 250GB hard drive. This unit has 4GB of RAM and also has a 17" screen. And just like the M17 it also has a blu ray player drive. One of the only other things that this one has other then the M17 is the Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 Processor, where the M17 only has the P8400. Other then that it is the same machine in a different case. But if you think the few upgrades are worth the extra money it will be a good machine.

top_laptop_brandsASUS N50Vn-B1B is a machine that anyone can afford, unlike the first two machines this one is in a lot more peoples price range. It does downgrade some of it's options to become more affordable but it still a great gaming computer non the less. It still uses the Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 processor with 4GB of RAM, but has a nVidia GeForce 9650M GS video card. It's doesn't have the graphic power for the first two but it is still good. One thing is does have over the others is that it has a 320GB hard drive for people that like to download music and other things. Another thing this one doesn't have is the blu ray drive. But you can't watch movies while your gaming anyway so it doesn't matter. For the affordable price of just over $1,200 this laptop is definitely worth the money anyway.

top_laptop_brandsMSI GT627-218US is another one of those affordable gaming laptops. This laptop will run you around $1,100 and is just about as good as the ASUS one above. MSI's laptop only has the P8400 processor and 15.4" screen but other then that it has all the other features of the ASUS laptop including the 320GB hard drive. Even if these are a lot less the the top two laptops do not be fooled by the gaming capabilities of either of these laptops. They are both very good laptops for everyday needs as well as gaming.

Hopefully this site has helped you with learning about the top laptop brands out on the market. Just remember that the popular opinion is that they laptop the person owns is the best out there. And most of the time it is for what they use it for, whether that is for gaming, or checking emails it is the best for their needs. If you have any personal experiences with these computers please leave a comment. Or if there is one that you want to add to the list you can also leave a comment.
